Center on Aging
The South Central Center on Aging (SCCOA) is located in the I-530 Medical Mall in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
This center serves eleven counties in South Central Arkansas: Arkansas, Cleveland, Drew, Garland, Grant, Hot Springs, Jefferson, Lincoln, Lonoke, Prairie, and Saline.
 
Senior Education Center
 The Senior Education Center is conveniently located across the lobby from the Senior Health Clinic and offers a wide variety of services to assist senior adults and those who care for them. These include:
- A resource center containing educational materials available to the public.
- Individualized assistance to senior adults and to family caregivers, including education and information regarding available resources.
- Educational programming for senior groups as well as the community.
- Support group meetings. Our Alzheimer’s Support Group meets on the third Thursday of every month.
- Geriatric-related education for healthcare professionals.
The Senior Education Center staff is available to speak with groups or organizations. Contact the staff for more information regarding speaking engagements, upcoming workshops, and other events.
Senior Health Clinic Patient Room
Dale Terrell, MD, a fellowship-trained geriatrician, serves as the Director of the SCCOA in addition to staffing the Senior Health Clinic. The staff at the South Central Center on Aging uses an interdisciplinary team consisting of a group of geriatric health care professionals working with the geriatrician to provide high-quality geriatric-specific clinical care with a focus on health promotion.
